This is my first book for children. Previously, I have written novels for adults. But for a long time, the idea of creating a children’s book—especially one that little boys would enjoy—kept drumming in my head. I wanted to create a book that would engage a young mind and be fun at the same time. Thus, I employed the help of illustrator Timothy Stripling to create the colorful illustrations that would bring the text alive. And together, we succeeded in producing an unforgettable ABCs book that kids will love​

Drawing and the arts have been a great interest of mine for many years, but illustrating a children's book was soon to be a whole new adventure. When I started the project I never imaged I would enjoy it so much. Doing the research on each animal, mode of transportation and setting was a real learning experience for me. Randy's creative mind to think outside the box challenged my perspective of what "normal' was when it comes to learning. This fun little book is the result of a lot of creativity, imagination, and just plain hard work in what we think is truly a unique contribution to the world of children’s books.
